Explore Spokane River property and you'll see there are bridges linking the north and south side of the river at South Spokane St. at Post Falls, by Q-Emiln Park, and on Route 95 to the east by Coeur d'Alene. Most of the amenities in terms of shopping and restaurants are on the northern side of the river, with many being right off Seltice Way. In addition, there are two health facilities in the region including the Northwest Specialty Hospital and Northern Idaho Advanced Care Hospital.

Nearby restaurants and pubs include Capone's Pub in Post Falls, Mallards Restaurant and Lounge, and a Dennys where the breakfasts continue to be awesome.

If you have kids who attend public classes, Ponderosa Elementary (1-5) is situated in Post Falls. It's a highly-regarded facility and will give your children a solid educational foundation.

If you're looking for homes along the Spokane River, living in the area gives you easy access to the river and Blackwell Island, where there are four boat launch lanes. You can easily park your trailer there while you're having fun out of the river. If you're at Blackwell, take a little stroll along the elevated boardwalk that runs along the river and check out the wildlife viewing decks.

Black Bay Park is another neat place and it is situated on the north side of the river. With 56 acres, the park is tied into Centennial Trail and offers fishing access as well as two fully-lit tennis courts and a basketball court.
